The New York Post published an article today called "Why food plays a huge role in holiday traditions", and this is what they found out-
"...Food plays a huge role in holiday traditions for 83% of people. Whether creating a new holiday dish or an old family recipe, respondents said they’re motivated to create it because their friends and family enjoy it (56%), they enjoy it themselves (56%) and because of tradition and nostalgia (43%)".
So here's our favorite nostalgic recipe that will fill your kitchen with the sweetest holiday smells-
Ingredients

3.5 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

0.25 teaspoon salt

1.5 cups white sugar

1 cup butter, softened

2 eggs
-
1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Seasonal sprinkles (red, white, green)
Directions

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in one bowl.

Beat sugar and butter using Tampoco's whisk until smooth. Beat in eggs, vanilla extract, flour and stir until dough is just combined. Wrap dough; chill in the refrigerator for one hours.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Roll out dough on a clean floured surface using Tampoco's rolling pin. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters or a glass cup. Decorate with red- white- green sprinkles. Set them on the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake until golden, about 7 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet before serving.
