👩🍳 What You’ll Need

Dry ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups flour

  • 1 cup sugar

  • ½ cup cocoa powder

  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

Wet ingredients:

  • 2 eggs

  • ¾ cup milk

  • ½ cup oil

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • ¾ cup hot water or coffee (for grown-ups!)

🧁 Steps (Kid-Friendly Style)

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a round or loaf pan.

  2. Mix all ingredients in a big bowl — flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt, milk, oil, and vanilla.

  3. Grown-up step: Add warm water and mix. The batter will be thin — that’s how it should be!

  4. Bake for about 30–35 minutes.
Task for kids: Set the timer and peek through the oven window to “watch it grow.”

  5. Cool, slice, and enjoy — preferably with sticky fingers and big smiles.

💡 Tips for Baking with Kids

  • Let them measure, pour, and mix — even if it’s messy.

  • Use a medium-size bowl that doesn’t spill easily, or put a tray under the bowl for easy clean up.

  • Turn cleanup into part of the game: who can wipe the counter fastest?

  • Freeze leftovers in slices for surprise lunchbox treats.
